Struck when John Law’s company controlled the French mints, and thus an issue sought by collectors of early American coins.

And this is the nicest one we’ve ever seen, with superb, original, prooflike surfaces, lovely blue and golden toning and a look that says high end mint state to us, but we’re not cracking it out of this cool, vintage, seldom encountered PCGS Garrett slab.
