Crosby 18, Breen 238, Freidus 1.2-A variety.
A dark chocolate brown example with golden orange highlights.
The planchet is nicely round and the strike is quite good, with all of the major design elements and legends relatively strong.
The surfaces are a bit rough, which is not unusual for this series, and there is an ancient arcing scratch behind the deer’s head, but overall this Higley is a most suitable example for type and is about as fine as one can reasonaby expect to obtain.
