An unusually sharp, totally original, golden brown Higley with the boldest date we have ever seen on any coin in this series.
And while this one is unusually well made for the issue, it does exhibit a series of striations apparently due to some pre-striking planchet adjustments which are not too distracting for an issue which never comes perfect and always requires a compromise (or two, or three, or ten . . .).
