A second high end Admiral Vernon medal, this commemorating the Battle of Cartagena de Indias which took place during 1739 to 1748.

Unfortunately (for Great Britain), things didn’t go so well after this medal was struck, as they suffered major losses and were ultimately forced to retreat.

The piece itself is unusually sharp and exhibits far more original color than is typically found on medals in this series.
