M.1-A, W-2460 Mailed Bust Right variety, Considered to be Rarity-4+.

One of the more distinctive and interesting types in the loooong CT series, and a coin that is rarely seen above VF.

And while this one has a few natural planchet fissures as so often found on these coins, it is by far the highest graded example we’ve seen, with very sharp detail and delightful golden brown color.

Which explains why this specimen graced two of the finest Connecticut cabinets ever assembled.

Ex Stack’s sale of the John J, Ford, Jr. Collection, lot #242; earlier appearing on the Miller Plate Coin; earlier Lyman Low’s September 19 sale, lot #132.
