Miller 9-R, W-2860 variety, the "1787 Copper, Mailed Bust Facing Left, Dated 1787 Over 88" Redbook type, one of a couple of interesting, quite bold and infrequently seen overdates in this series.  Considered to be Rarity-4+.

Shades of deep brown over much better surfaces than normally found on this challenging type.

Not perfect, but anything much better than this example would be extremely difficult to find and very, very expensive.
