A tough type most often seen indifferently made and unevenly struck on poor planchets and exhibiting a frankly grotesque die break in the central obverse which obscures the original design as intended by the makers.  But we never buy those.

Instead, we seek pieces like this early die state example with no trace of the die break on the clock, with a better than average strike on a planchet which exhibits far fewer issues than the majority of these.
