Sheldon-24 ‘Apple Cheek’ variety, considered to be Rarity-2.

A distinctive variety on which Miss Liberty has an especially full, rounded cheek, a characteristic which often comes with striking weakness on the corresponding portion of the reverse, as here.

And this is a charming, original piece, with nice light chocolate brown color and mostly smooth, hard surfaces.  Just a few old marks commensurate with the grade bear mention, as well as some 223 year-old scale on the reverse which someone may want to try to remove, but it won’t be us.
