Breen-1028, W-8560 variety, the rare and seldom seen Redbook variant without NEW YORK on the reverse.  Estimated by us to be Rarity-6.

This is a crusty, all original example struck from the shattered state of the obverse die (which could not have survived much longer in use, and illustrates why this issue is so rare).

Just a few areas of golden brown on the reverse, with the balance of the coin a nice, rich, chocolate brown.
