Breen-1028, W-8560 variety, the rare and seldom seen Redbook variant without NEW YORK on the reverse.  Estimated by us to be Rarity-6. 

And this is a very pleasing, rich brown example with nice surfaces and just some lighter golden patches due to impurities in the original planchet. 

Compared to the ‘regular’ 1794 and 1795 Talbot issues which are frequently seen in high grades, this No NEW YORK type is almost never seen above XF, relatively crudely made, typically weakly struck and a product of an obverse die that shattered early in its life, causing the pronounced crack in the right obverse field and likely accounting for the rarity of this issue.
