LM-2 16 Star Obverse variety, Draped Bust, Small Eagle type.  Considered to be Rarity-4.

A neat issue with as many obverse stars as ever engraved by the mint (before they gave up trying to cram them all in and went back to a manageable count of 13 for the original colonies).

And this is the first of this issue we’ve offered in years.  But not for lack of trying – we just never seem to find examples that we like enough to buy.

Until we found this all original, uncorrupted, coin-gray, golden toned and quite appealing, old-holdered AU example and then of course jumped all over it.
