Musante GW-58, Baker-71, Julian PR-1 variety, Original Early Striking in Silver.

A neat issue with a distinctive Washington portrait and an unusually abbreviated G. WASHINGTON PRES. UNIT. STA. on the obverse, and COMMISS. RESIGNED : PRESIDENCY RELINQ. above 1797 on the reverse.

And while this type is seen with some frequency in copper and white metal, this silver composition is very rare.

The piece itself is a nice Choice AU with bold detail  and good eye appeal.
