Musante GW-70A, Dies 1-B variety with GW inscribed in script lettering on the Funeral Urn.  Struck in Gold with a Plain Edge.  Considered to be Rarity-7.

An interesting and historic issue struck circa 1800 by Jacob Perkins of Newburyport, Massachusetts and holed upon manufacture for suspension from a ribbon.  But while most of these are seen in White Metal, and some are in Silver, this is the important and desirable Gold striking.

The piece itself is spectacular gem with fresh golden orange color and superb reflectivity on the obverse and reverse.

PCGS has graded a mere four of these in gold, of which this is the sole example designated Uncirculated.  The finest known, and it’s a stone cold gem!
