Sheldon-261 variety, the Small Date, Large Fraction type.  Considered to be High Rarity-2.

A choice medium brown specimen with excellent cartwheel luster, no spots, no trace of rub on the high points of the design, and some pretty blue-green toning in the devices.

This specimen is tied with 2 others at PCGS as the highest graded of this Redbook type.  The Husak example of S-261, in comparison, had a few abrasions and carbon spots, was graded PCGS AU58, and was STILL considered to be tied for second finest known in the Early American Coppers condition census.

The present specimen is apparently not recorded on the EAC census, but appears to us (and to PCGS) to be considerably finer than the Husak coin.

Note that this coin has been verified by CAC.
