Musante GW-87, Baker-84 variety, struck in Bronzed Copper. Considered to be Rarity-6. 38.5mm.
A rare issue which has been widely sought and very expensive since the earliest days of American numismatics, with a specimen having sold to William Sumner Appleton for $125 way back in 1863. Who knew?
And this is a very pleasing, all original, medium brown, quite choice example with a wonderful and looooong provenance.
