A enigmatic piece, struck to memorialize General Lafayette as, and we quote, ‘The Untiring Advocate of Constitutional Liberty’, though we don’t know when or by whom. (If you know, please drop us a line).

Sharply struck on a compact but very thick bronze planchet, with flashy proof surfaces vividly toned in hues of sea green, pale blue, violet and gold.

There are a couple of nicks here and there, but they are more noticeable in our photo than in hand.

A neat piece, and the first of its kind that we have ever seen or offered.
