Continuing with our anti-slavery theme (and why wouldn’t we?) here we have have a dramatic and interesting piece with the bold obverse legend SLAVERY THE SUM OF ALL VILLANIES [sic] surrounding a portrait of bearded abolitionist John Brown.

The reverse legend RESISTANCE TO TYRANNY IS OBEDIENCE TO GOD surrounds a hangman and the phrase GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH.

While we have had this issue before in White Metal, and even one rare Silver one, this is the first copper example we’ve offered and it is a screaming über-gem.
