King-252, ANS-1 variety, Salvatore Patriae type.  35.6mm.  Struck in Silver and very rare as such, estimated by us to be at least High Rarity-6 in this composition.

A beautifully executed Lincoln medal struck in incredibly high relief, this piece is a smaller version of the large sized bronze and white metal pieces issued by the American Numismatic Society shortly after Lincoln’s death.

With a classic obverse portrait surrounded by SALVATOR PATRIAE (Savior of the Country), and IN MEMORY OF THE LIFE ACTS AND DEATH OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN BORN FEBRUARY 12 1809 DIED APRIL 15 1865.

And this example is superb, with lovely surfaces and dramatic emerald green, fuchsia, indigo and golden orange toning on the obverse and reverse.
