KM-798.1 variety, Christian IX type. Struck at the Copenhagen mint.

After scouring our database, and poring through the boxes of files in our three (3) off-site storage facilities, I can say with confidence that this is only the second coin from Denmark we have ever offered on this site.

And this is a charming type with a portrait of Christian IX on the obverse, the heart mintmark for Copenhagen after the date and a fine Dolphin on the reverse opposite some well executed wheat.

The piece itself is a lovely, all original, old blue, sea green and golden toned Choice AU with truly excellent eye appeal.
