We recently had our choice of a small run of like-graded examples of this issue and we picked this piece. 

Which reminds your author (DW) of my experience as a kid in the local coin shop in Worcester, MA.  There they had an original roll of ’09 VDB’s on display where you could pick the coin you wanted.  It was really cool to see, though I remember those coins were various degrees of red and brown. 

This one, on the other hand, is a superb full blazing red.
