KM-7a variety, a cool, dollar-sized silver coin with a Papua New Guinea eagle on one side with K5 (indicating the denomination 5 Kina), and a bird-of-paradise over a traditional spear and a kundu drum (the national emblem of Papua New Guinea) on the other.

The piece itself could best be described as “Hey, that piece is incredible!“, with wacko fuchsia, peacock blue, lime green and golden orange toning on the eagle side which goes berserk when you twirl it in the light.

CRObservation: In a former life, your author fondly recalls once attending a meeting with a prospective business partner in Jakarta and including several colleagues from our U.S office.  During introductions, several employees of the other company said that they were from “P&G” which impressed our American team to no end, since of course Proctor & Gamble was quite a prestigious company.  I later had to explain that the locals were not actually saying “P&G”, they were saying “PNG” (as in Papua New Guinea) where they had worked in the past.
