Noe-1.5 (the late die state of Noe-1), Salmon 1-A, W-430 variety, IN at Left type. Estimated by us to be Rarity-6 or so.
A rare variant identifiable by the bold die crack at NEW on the obverse and evident die rust on the reverse, this issue was missing from nearly all of the significant offerings of Massachusetts silver coins of the last 50 years or so. Indeed, the only one we could trace was in Stack’s 2001 Hain sale, but the present specimen is finer.
With a lovely, antique gray patina, good detail, a crisp tree and good eye appeal.
Note that this coin has been verified by CAC.
