Betts-247, Adam-NLAi-A variety, featuring the Duke of Argyle and Sir Robert Walpole.  Struck in Bath Metal.

A neat issue with one of the best motifs in this (or any) series, with Argyle just standing there like he’s all that on the obverse, and the devil leading Walpole into the pointy toothed mouth of Hell on the reverse.  How cool is that?  Very.

And while many of these are worn, cleaned and spotted, this is a lovely, original and very eye appealing piece in an unusually high grade for this series.
