A superb, original, chocolate brown example with no trace of the reverse break and thus showing this design as intended by the makers. 

Our own proprietary research of this type reveals just a couple of dozen EDS examples through 150+ years of auction catalogs and reference books, a number of which were scratched or impaired in some way.  But this one is lovely.
