Breen-1137, W-5680 variety, considered to be Rarity-4+.

This is one of our favorite pieces in the colonial series, with the obverse legend IMMUNIS (Latin for "free from tribute or tax") COLUMBIA (the land of Columbus, i.e. America), which can thus be interpreted as  "America free from tribute".

This type was once considered to be a pattern for federal coinage, but clearly must have seen use in commerce given the existence of circulated survivors.

And this is a most pleasing example of such, all original, with nice surfaces, pretty medium brown with hints of mahogany and just some light even wear.  Importantly, this piece also boasts a completely full date, which is not often the case on this small planchet issue.
