B-2, BB-81 variety, Small Eagle, 15 Stars on Obverse, considered to be Rarity-3.

A curious variety with 15 obverse stars at a time when there were 16 states and after mint policy had already returned to using 13 stars. Leading one to conclude that this die was prepared well in advance and put into service despite the erroneous star count. A fortuitous decision for today’s collectors, creating this extreeeeemely desirable variety.

And this is a pleasing, old toned XF example of an issue that is very difficult to find as such.
