An important and desirable issue for variety and type collectors in this series, with the bold and distinctive die gouge resembling an I after AMERICA on the reverse.

There are less than a handful of real uncs known of this issue, and this is the finest example by far, with lovely, prooflike surfaces, colorful toning at the rims and exceptional eye appeal. Superb provenance too.
