Newcomb-14 variety, 13 Stars type. Considered to be Rarity-1.

The first of a neat trio of 1817 Cents on our list, this is a wholesome, Choice RB Unc. housed in an ancient PCGS slab.

(Editor’s note: PCGS did not designate the 13 Star and 15 Star variants on this date until years after this coin was graded, so while the coin #1595 on this slab was correct at the time it was certified, the 13 Star is now coin #1594 as shown below).
