It’s always interesting for us to find non-ship wreck examples of ship wreck issues where one can appreciate the history of an item without the heavy dose of salt water damage and nuclear powered conservation most of its brethren have endured.

Such as in the case of this lovely, original Choice AU example of a date which would be far less common if not for the influx of S.S. Central America coins raised from the depths.  Perhaps along the lines of the 1858-S $20, which was not a ship wreck date and has a PCGS population of only approximately 1/3 the level of the 56-S.
