This issue was struck to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Missouri statehood with Daniel Boone in his familiar coonskin cap on the obverse, and him standing with a Native American on the reverse.  With this being the scarcer variant with the 2★4 symbol in the left obverse field indicating that Missouri was the 24th state in the union (Editor’s note:  How many dealers and collectors knew that?  I would guess 13%).

And this is a spectacularly lustrous, wildly undergraded, golden toned example housed in a circa 1980s PCGS slab.

Note that this coin has been verified by CAC with a Gold sticker indicating that it exceeds their standards for this grade level.
