Rulau-E9 variety, 73.8mm.  Struck in White Metal.

A dramatic and interesting piece which can be dated based on the place names used, such as the Sandwich Islands for what is now Hawaii and New Holland for Australia.  Also of note (and not surprising given the era) the United States is seen crammed into the eastern seaboard of North America.

The piece itself has some flash, with slightly subdued fields that still show considerable semi-prooflike contrast with the devices.

The last example we could find at a public auction was a dull XF / AU at Stack’s about 5 years ago which realized $1,063.75.  But this one looks much better.
