Breen-218, G81-2/2a, W-11500 variety with Martlet Alone Beneath the King (Editor’s Note: In heraldry, a Martlet is a representation of a bird without feet, used as a crest or bearing to indicate a fourth son, though frankly it looks like a regular old duck to this author).

Fresh from Europe, this is a very wholesome example with delicious golden brown color, nice natural gloss, a bright golden splasher pretty well centered on the King’s crown and lovely surfaces for any St. Pats, let alone this scarce variant.

Note that this coin has been verified by CAC.
