The first of three very tough Seated Dollars on our list, we have offered just a few examples of this date through the years. And while those other ones were nice, this old toned, Choice AU is the finest of the lot.

In recent years prices of CAC-verified coins in this series have steadily increased, as it has become clear just how few choice examples actually exist for some dates. Indeed, for this 1864 there are a grand total of 12 CAC stickered / CACG graded coins in all the popular collector grades of XF40 to AU58 combined. The most recent CACed example of any of them at auction was this XF40 coin that sold for $11,700 at Heritage in March of last year.

Making this Choice AU55 an extremely desirable item, and a seldom seen opportunity.
